If you could spend time inside a video game for a while which one would you visit?

Well, not inside one of those shooting games I sometimes play (only a few times a year), that's for sure. (shooting a few graphics on a screen is very different from reality, and that's even assuming I wouldn't be one of the victims).

Other than that, I think most other games (racing, flying, simulation, strategy) I play would be worth a visit.

What about being in a visual novel type game or something risque like Leap Of Faith, or Inside Jennifer?

I actually spoke with William Gibson about this (and a Movie Version as well), but I would love to spend time in a “game” that recreates the cyber places in “Neuromancer”.

Both the movie and game would most likely not happen, according to him, because of so many un-executed Options and Rights issues…
    …still…

    Ganton in the heart. CJ!

Get out of the way I have a curry on the stove.

San Fierro is another of my favourite parts of the map even though I didn't like how the story unfolded to that quadrant.

A Star Trek game could be fun with ships and stuff.

I wouldn't mind being in the Saints Row games, maybe the third one.

Freelancer, Elite (Original), or Oolite ( I like all the add-ons you can add. It is open source so you can create your add-on, OR if you have the right 3D drawing program make your own ships)
I also liked the free-ride from L.A. Noire

I co-admin a FB group dedicated to Fighting Fantasy, a British RPG game that started as a solo gamebook series. Later on someone extended it to enable multiplayer scenarios and then along came a computer game version. I've tried the computer games, but honestly I prefer the pencil-and-paper, draw your own map, roll the d6, even if some of the monsters are really damn tough to beat. I'd guess some of the younger group members would happily jump into the game world if it was computerized, though.

As for what games I would happily jump into and spend time there... no question. They would be the ones I've been using as my NaNoWriiMo projects for adapting games to prose form.

There is so much I'd like to know about the settings I'm working with and some of the characters. Like the pov character of King's Heir: Rise to the Throne. WTF does he even look like? It's from his pov and he never looks into a mirror, so I have no idea what he looks like. I know what he's wearing because he looks down at himself in one scene. And that's it. And another scene has another character facing away from the player and I really need to know what the front of his clothing looks like, and he won't turn around and show me!

Talk about annoying. Do they realize how many hours of research I've put into medieval men's clothing of the early 11th century? Do they appreciate it?

    Probably not.
