Well, they seem to have skimped a little on the fact-checking. When I was working on my Stargate projects, I went over all the BC-304s seen on the show, in case I made a model of one at some point, to check if the nameplates actually changed (they avoided showing them clearly, probably for stock footage reasons, and the white-on-gray text isn't super-legible under most conditions anyway). While the Daedalus, Odyssey, and Apollo were all numbered "02," I think someone eventually decided that was a mistake, because the Hammond was definitely marked "05." Presumably, it should've been "Prometheus- 01" (if the Prometheus had ever gotten its name painted on the side), "Daedalus- 02," "Odyssey- 03," "Apollo- 04," and "Hammond- 05."

Is that shot of the Hammond from an HD source? I only have the DVD, that's probably why I was never able to read the number in that scene. Quoting myself:
So I guess they did not have or check the original textures. Bummer!

By the way, since when is this a Stargate Atlantis ship? Its name was mentioned at the end of SGA, but it was only seen in SGU.

I forgot the Hammond showed up in Universe. Though that's probably because I haven't watched the show since it originally aired.

It’s funny, I fell off the Stargate wagon long before humans had super advanced spaceships, imagine my surprise when I randomly tuned for an episode years later.

Same. I only ever watched the original Emmerich movie and never got into the TV show. Those Stargate ships kinda look like they would be right at home in either Battlestar Galactica or Alien.

Speaking of the original movie: I remember there being this huge pyramid shaped ship that could pull over an ancient Egyptian pyramid. That was pretty cool. Did Eaglemoss ever put that out as a model?

Nope, though they indicated their license included the movie, so they might’ve gotten to it sooner or later. They did produce a model of the TV-version of the ship, which had a large exterior hull surrounding the pyramid and, inexplicably, made the ship three-sided so it couldn’t actually land on a pyramid, even though it had a socket in the bottom (and one episode had to cheat a shot where they did show one landing on a pyramid).

It technically showed up in Atlantis first, as the Phoenix in an alternate timeline.

Did anyone here get Gameprint ships ordered after they announced they're gonna stop? If so, when did you order, when did they come, and were you told when to expect them?

I did. Ordered in October last year, supposed to ship in November, and yes, I'm still waiting. I've sent many emails and when they bother to reply at all it's with a stock boiler plate stating:

Thanks for your email and apologies for the lack of response as of late. We're a bit understaffed at the moment and have been fully focused on printing and production so that these orders can go out as soon as possible.

After battling tooth and nail for the printing and logistical materials we need to scale up printing, our team can confirm that we've received some help on this front. We should be able to get more printers online this week and start getting these orders out in mass by next week. Shipping confirmations will be sent out via email once your order is on the way.

I understand this timeline is later than what has been quoted to you several times now. And again, we apologize for the lack of communication and accuracy behind those. Many factors behind the scenes of this project impacted those timelines and communication, which I will not go into detail now. If for some reason this new timeline isn't possible, we will look at alternative solutions such as refunds. However, our team believes things have finally progressed in the right direction and that we should be able to avoid that scenario. Just want to do what's right by all paid customers.

Hope to have more positive updates for your order(s) soon.

They've sent me this exact response three times now, most recently in February. This is when they bother to reply at all, because I emailed them twice in March for an update and they didn't even acknowledge them. By next week my order will be four months late and I'm planning to instruct my bank to block the payment.

    I smell burnt toast....ugh....

I only ever had one GamePrint order that came in less than six months.

Yeah, I've made maybe 3-4 orders since the very beginning, they've always been stupid slow.

People started ordering printed ships like crazy when the service was announced to be ending.
I read somewhere that they actually had to buy new printers to keep up with the orders.

I've only ordered 2 ships, about a year apart, both came with in 3 months.

I probably would have ordered another when the cancellation was announced, but I didn't have the money to spare.

    holy crap!

Although, I sorta suspect an order that size might be for resale down the line...

Well... They didn't send me a mislabeled Reliant concept. They just sent me a Reliant concept.
