Why? War fucking sucks. Normally decent people can be led into doing awful things in war as it strips you of humanity. I see no reason that Nate in fallout 4 should have a squeaky clean war record. And its fucking fallout. This is a version of history where the America thought annexing canada, letting vault tec run free, expermenting with FEV and removing the brains of convicts to put in robo brains to name just a few thing a good idea. Their idea of human rights and morality is fucked up. Seriously killing a few POW is mundane compared to the shit that went on in fallout even before the bombs droped.
That's one thing I wish the show could have done, but didn't really have time for... a random ass side quest, unrelated to the main story.
My wife, a hardcore Fallout player (don't ask me how much she has spent on Fallout '76 over the last few years, it'll just make me irritated), absolutely loves it. I've seen that a lot from the crowd that actually plays the games.
Just finished. This was good! I’m sad the NCR is dead. It seems like there’s plenty of factions and opportunities to rebuild areas of land people resort to infighting. What happened to Mr House’s plan to put satellites up and interstellar ships?
He took out the "first capital." He hardly eliminated the NCR, at least not explicitly shown in the show. Outside of the show: Spoiler: Interview, spoilers just in case The production team has confirmed the NCR is not gone
Ah, I'm glad to hear that! Being a fan of the novel series Maddrax too, I've noticed a trend in long-running post-apocalyptic franchises where the writers have to keep sabotaging emerging civilizations in order to maintain the setting.
I mean, I think it's part of the charm, but also the simple idea that there are larger forces at work ("the man" as it used to be called) keeping people down. I personally find it more interesting to see the steps taken to preserve power.
I finished it yesterday now I'm really sad. I'm going to miss Lucy's cheerful optimism at least till series 2
